Chocolate Strawberry Tart Recipe
Serves 8


2 cups plain walnuts
1/2 cup pitted dates

3 avocados, peeled, pitted
1 banana, peeled
1/2 cup pitted dates
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup almond milk

1 pound hulled strawberries


For the crust, add the walnuts and pitted dates to the food processor.

Process until it forms a sticky dough. The walnuts should be just chopped and visible.

Press the dough in the bottom and along the sides of a 9 inch tart pan that has been lined with parchment paper.

Place the crust in the freezer until needed.

For the filling, place the peeled and pitted avocado, peeled banana, pitted dates, and cocoa powder into the food processor.

Begin to process and slowly add in almond milk until the mixture reaches a pudding like consistency.

Pour the chocolate pudding into the tart crust.

Smooth evenly with a spatula.

Allow to set in the refrigerator 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Before serving, decorate with hulled strawberries. I made a heart shape for Valentine’s Day and Heart Month.
